X-MEN: DIVIDED WE FALL
They always existed, but for most of history were nothing more than whispers, rumors, and urban legends. That was, until 2007.
With the advent of technology and the capability to document and record everything with their phones, it happened. Photos and videos of individuals with frightening physical differences and uncanny abilities began to circulate the web, going viral. It wasn’t long until news outlets picked up on it and began telling the world of these ‘mutants’.
Accompanying this discovery was the human fear of anyone or anything ‘different’. Mutants quickly went from being a celebrated viral sensation to feared and hated. The response from mutantkind was twofold:
Charles Xavier wants to protect mutants and help them use their powers for good. His school for the "gifted" gives young mutants a place to learn to control their powers and older mutants an outlet to use their extraordinary abilities to protect mutantkind and humankind alike.
Erik Lehnsherr disagrees. Although the man himself has been captured and locked away in a plastic prison--for now--his protege, the man known as Exodus, works in his absence to gather like-minded mutants to the Brotherhood.
In the human world, dark forces are stirring and plans being formed to be rid of this "mutant menace" once and for all.
Lines are being drawn.
Where will you stand?

"This is why you were chosen. Because the strong man who has known power all his life, may lose respect for that power, but a weak man knows the value of strength, and knows... compassion."
